Hello fellow crafters! Welcome to my blog and thanks for stopping by! Today I have some more interactive sweetness in the form of the wonderful Donut Treats stamp set by Mama Elephant
My Supplies are from my fave local store - The Scrapboook Store in Perth Western Australia. Suzanne has a massive amount of gorgeous products!
To begin my card, I lightly covered my background piece of card with Cracked Pistachio, Spun Sugar and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide inks.
I splattered water over this and gently dried with a paper towel. I stamped and coloured the gorgeous images with my Copic Markers. I die-cut them with the corresponding dies. To make the mechanism I used a strip of very thick card as my 'lever' (and coloured it with Carcked Pistachio). I secured this to a smaller piece of card/tab with a small brad.
To begin my card, I lightly covered my background piece of card with Cracked Pistachio, Spun Sugar and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide inks.
Then another brad was used to secure the smaller tab to the background piece (punch a few holes in a line on the smaller tab to attach the second brad - rather than just a single hole - this allows the tab to move a little as it swings).
Attach the little mouse to the top of the smaller tab. Attach the donut stack and mouse with a small strip of 3D foam to allow the levers to move behind the stack freely.
Attach the images to the background piece as shown below. Attach the separate donut to the pull-tab with 3D foam (stamped with 'pull here') and trim the excess tab length. Stamp out the sentiment with versamark ink and white emboss on Kraft Card.
