Hello lovely crafters and welcome to my blog! Today's card is featuring the new release from Penguin Palace Stamps and it's the Home Sweet Home Die - perfect for scene building with all those lovely new release sets! The set I used today is the Rabbit Cafe.
I have modified the die to fit a standard sized card in landscape orientation - to show you how versatile it is!
I have modified the die to fit a standard sized card in landscape orientation - to show you how versatile it is!
To begin I cut the house die from some white card and some
Kraft card (and a roof panel from the kraft card also). I trimmed the white card piece across the top just under the windows. I used the rectangles from the Kraft card window section and trimmed them to form two window frames. I used a brick stencil to colour the white house piece with tea die distress oxide ink.
I adhered the Kraft roof piece to the top of the white/brick panel, the kraft door to the white/brick panel door and the window framed to the front of the house. Behind the windows, I used some light yellow card covered with vellum.
For the background piece, I used my blending brushes and a cloud stencil for the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. Pummice Stone for the ground. I stamped and coloured the images with copics and used the corresponding dies to cut them out. I stamped the Brew-tiful Day sentiment in versamark ink and white embossed it on some black card.
Such a cute die that will compliment the new release sets so well!
Thanks for joining me
