Countdown to Confetti Day 2

Hello Fetti Fans! It's Day 2 today of showcasing the new May release (which will be available from the 8th). It's jammed packed full of wonderful and unique stamps and dies that you'll want to be sure not to miss! If you like your affiliate links head here. Today's stamp sets are Have Your Cake, Beautiful Balloons and their corresponding Dies. I have also used the Oval Window Cover Panel and the Letter Cuts dies along with the Free with Purchase Set - Hooray!

To begin this card, I took a white cardbase and punched the corners with a corner rounder. I took a piece of Kraft carstock and used the Oval Window Cover Panel to cut a window. I then used the Have Your Cake set to create layers and sprinkles & icing on the cake pieces. I stamped the icing and trimmings with Kitsch Falmingo Distress Oxide Ink on white cardstock (embossing with clear embossing powder to give a shine) and die cut them. I die-cut the cake layers from Kraft Cardstock with the corresponding dies to the stamp set. On the layers, I stamped the dots from the stamp set using versamark ink and white embossed them. I stamped the candles in versamark ink and white embossed them (colouring the flames bright pink with a Copic pen).

I die cut the letters for 'cake' using the Letter Cuts dies in both Pink cardstock and black cardstock. I stamped the small dots on the tops of the pink letters in versamark ink and white embossed them. I then adhered the pink and black letters together with a slight overlap to give a shadow effect and to help the pink letters stand out on the front of the card. I stamped the Happy & Day using partial sentiments from the Freebie set on black cardstock strips and white embossed them. I adhered all to the front of the card as shown adding some enamel dots to finish.

For my second card, I used the Beautiful Balloons set along with the Celebrate Tag. To begin, I die cut two balloons in ink and purple cardstock using the single balloon die. I stamped the floral images from the set 4 times and coloured them with pastel colour copics markers, adding dotted detail with my white Posca Pen. I die-cut them with the corresponding dies. I die cut a white tag and embossed it using the Pointed Cover Panel and attached some white/silver ribbon to the top.

I inked up some white cardstock with Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide Inks in random patches. I used the celebrate die to cut a white 'shadow' piece and cut the main letters from the inked cardstock. I adhered these together.

To assemble, I adhered the tag to the front of a white cardbase (with the corners rounded with a punch) and then adhered the clelbrate word on the tag. I adhered the balloons and flowers as shown, tucking them behind and between the tag & letters. I stamped and adhered the balloon strings.

The new release products used for this card include:

Check out the many wonderful projects by the team and friends for more inspiration!

See you again tomorrow for Day 3!
