Here is the list of the amazing blogs taking part:

Now to my card!
I decided that I wanted to use all the cute chick & accessory images from the Eggcellent News stamp set as there are so many and they tell a "little story" if you use them together! What better way to display them all than on a pop-up-box?

I used the Scalloped Pop-up-box Die from Lawn Fawn here, but you can search for templates on the net if you don't own a die, so it's not essential. I decorated the box with My Favorite things Itsy Bitsy Polka dots Pastels paper pad.  I stamped out the chicken, chick, nest, egg and pram images from the Eggcellent News set in MFT Extreme Black ink and coloured them with copics. I used the corresponding dies to cut out the images.
I also used the stand alone dies "congrats" and "baby" - I blended some Squeezed Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio inks onto white card and then cut both of the dies from this.  I stamped the 'welcome' word on white card, trimmed and backed with patterned paper.

I mounted all the images as shown on thin strips of acetate. I added some punched hearts and also tucked them in the convenient 'slits' that the dies cut in the mumma chicks wings. I used a cloud border die to decorate the inside panels. Adorable!!!

Thanks for joining the hop - don't forget to visit them all and leave a comment for you chance to win!

WOW - this is FANTASTIC. My eyes popped out of my head when I saw this card. I just love this card and the colours used together with the dotty paper. This stamp set is just a must for me as all the DT cards show how versatile this set is. I have this LF die set and will definitely be buying these Heffy Doodle stamps to create my own cards . This blog hop is great and has inspired me so much. Thank you for this great card.

Great idea instead of a card, you are right they do tell a story all on their own. The colours you've used are beautifully bright, happy colours that make me think of spring and birth instantly. Thank you for sharing all the steps so we can try also.

WOW, WOW, WOW Ali. I spent a good 15 minutes just looking at the photograph of your project using the Heffy Doodle release products before even reading a single word from your blog post. I was amazed at the way you have used the images from the 'Eggcellent News' stamp/die set. I have seen the box cards before but I haven't attempted one myself as yet (I may have to now after seeing yours Ali), but this type of "FUN FOLD" card does allow for the use of lots of different images, I love how you have made use of the cut that is die cut under the chicks arms for them to hold hearts - so cute. TOP TIP - Blending two colours which go with the project and then die cut the large sentiment from this creating an hombre effect on the sentiment. Love this technique and will definitely be using this in future projects. Thank you Ali :O)

I've had one of these cards on my "to do" list
for several years and never get to it. Love
your box of chicks. Hopefully this will get
me in the craftroom to card a "card in a box".
Your flock of chicks is darling.
